I have seen an adjustable front sight fitted to a single action somewhere. It was absolutely cool and adjustable for elevation and if I'm not mistaken, was mated with a windage adjustable rear sight. This seems to be a elegant solution for different loadings with different points of impact without having to make mental or metal (as with a file) adjustments.
My problem (or one of them) is I can't remember where I saw it. It seems to me that I remember it was noted as a Colt unit (or from a Colt of some sort) and may have been in reference to one of the Keith guns.
Can anyone help me figure out where I saw this and if there are commercially available sights suitable for sixguns?
Thanks

Don't have a closeup up in my picture folder but Are you talking something like the sight on this one? Pull out your books and look for closeups of the sight on EK's original Number 5...

This Colt .44 Special supposedly came from a hunting guide in Idaho back in the late 1930's or early '40's..... A friend of mine's Uncle took a trip with Elmer. Carl

Okay, yep, that's what I was thinking I saw (and it may have been on #5) and thanks for the pictures and the time to respond.
Does anyone offer this type sight for sale today? I was thinking maybe Bowen or Linebaugh?

Thanks to both of you for posting the pictures.
Axe, yours is awesome but Carl's may have some history and linkages to Mr. Keith. I would have to think that if the geography and time frame is even close, the odds of it not being strongly influenced by Mr. Keith would be very remote.
Close to the 'Holy Grail', I'd say. One has to wonder if there are other examples out there.
