I was reading through Midway's 'Gunsmithing' Catalog tonight and saw an add on, 1911 style (almost) safety for these.
Anyone have experience with them?

Personally I'd sell the glock and buy a 1911 if it were mine, but to each their own. Think it would cause problems internally but I know Glock is warrantiing the ones some police department put on

Here how the 3 safety's work on a Glock . There is no reason to add another one . It is as safe to carry as a DA revolver . I carried a 1911 from 1968 to 2003 everyday . And now carry a Glock or a Kahr . www.genitron.com/Basics/Glock23/P2Glock.html

variety is the spice of life and there are too many people that have been shot because of this gun's function. Having the option is never bad and you can always leave it off if you want.
i have yet to see a double action revolver trigger pull as light as a Glocks or as short. then there is the lack of a moving hammer to really clue the user in to 'this is going to fire.' apples to oranges IMHO.
factory warranty is supposedly not voided with this add on.

Remember you can't idiot proof a gun . I carry a Kahr which is the same setup as a Glock , light trigger and short pull . I have a 3.5 lbs trigger in my Glock and carried it from 2003 till today . You can put in a 8 lbs and 12 lbs trigger pull for people who need it for under $10 . The Glock is the perfect carry gun in the way it came out of the factory And all these BS story are nothing but BS from some idiot pulling trigger and blaming it on the gun .

i hear what you're saying. i keep thinking of one thing though. my little assisted open pocket knife complete with a liner lock. i had it clipped inside my jeans one day, unlocked, and it opened. i have no idea how and it should have been impossible. moral to the story; i.d rather be the guy being made fun of than the guy who shoots himself in the leg or worse. no one is perfect and if you spend enough time around firearms an accident will happen. yes the glocks are safe, but people are imperfect. .02
