I was just checking some Ruger Single-Sixes I have and found something that surprised me.The first revolver is an '86 dated 6.5 inch 32 H&R and the second is a much later fixed sight 32 "Vaquerito".The throats on both guns differ in diameter and I was trying to swap cylinders to test accuracy/bullet diameter. What I found was the older guns cylinder would not fit in the frame window of the newer.I checked cylinder diameters and the older cylinder was 1.435 inches in diameter while the newer cylinder was 1.415 inches in diameter. Not much but the older cylinder locks in the frame of of the new gun. Can anybody here check their cylinder diameters and see if this is standard?

I have three .45 Colt Vaqueros, and the cylinders are all different lengths.

Just checked two of mine, both 650 prefix so mid to late 80's I think. One was 1.437 and the other 1.434.I'm surprised that the newer one would be a different size.
