I have used a real small brush and model paint, and put a white outline on some of my rear sights. Also used Orange model paint on the front sights. Paint front sight with white and then orange will make it brighter.

I size after I powder coat and don't get any bare spots. How are you powder coating ? What is the lube you are talking about cleaning off ? Are you buying pre lubed bullets or casting your own ?

If any of you guys have a ,Ace hardware close buy. Check with them and see if they have gun screws. The ones in my area carry a pretty good selection.

All I have used for years. On several different revolvers have not had any problems. I think powder has more to do with cone erosion than bullet.

When the NMFT became available I bought one with the 4 5/8” barrel and it has done everything I wanted it do as is from ruger. Yup , mine has also. Although I changed to Birdshead grip frame for better conceal carry.

But the OEM spring sets off tough primers no problem. Ain't broke I don't try to fix it. All my SBHs, BKH,& Vaqueros have stock springs.

I used to split with wedges years ago. Had a gas powered wood splitter for a while. We don't heat with wood , and at 77 yrs. don't think I want to. Only splitting I do now is for the wood lathe.
