I noticed in the thread re: preferred lube sizer several people mentioned using a lee sizer first and then running the bullets thru a lube sizer. I called Lee and asked if I can size and seat gaschecks using their sizing die and then lube. They told me I had to lube first or the bullets would smear. I sometimes have problems with bullets not sizing square as depicted in Tec's picture in the other thread. I would like to try the Lee sizing die but am not interested in using their Alox lube. Would be interested in the experience from those using a Lee sizer and then running the bullets thru a lube sizer. Thanks.

I simply roll mine on my RCBS case lube pad using the RCBS case lube. No issues so far and I don't use much lube at all on the pad. Just enough to slightly feel it on them.

Just a spritz of some Hornady "One Shot" case lube on the inside of the sizer and Bob's your uncle.
Did a bunch of bullets like that for a 454 Casull that just had to have .451".

You can "tumble lube" them with a little case lube and that should be good enough to get them through the Lee sizer. I spritz them with Dillon lube (alcohol and lanolin) and shake them around in a tupperware bowl. Size in the Lee and then lube in your lubrisizer.

Greatly appreciate the advice. Ordered a couple Lee sizers and anxious to give them a try.

You can order custom Sizing dies from Lee too. It usually takes 60 days but the cost is very reasonable....$40 I believe. I paper patch CB's and need a smaller diameter to PP up to what I want. For example for a 375Win or 38/55 I like a .370 diameter CB. I PP up to .377 for the 375Win and .380 for the 38/55. I use the water soluable Lee lube to get it through the die. Once the PP is applied I do like a bit of mica on the finished product.

FYI-Right now Lee has stopped any custom work until things slow down.
There are a couple of fellows on the cast boolit forum that will do custom dies for you though. And you can open one up a few thousandths yourself pretty easily.
