I shot two of my .45 Colt revovlers yesterday in sort of a comparison match, using a 255 gr. cast SWC loaded with first 6.5 grs. Winchester 231 and 8.0 grs. Winchester 231. I did my firing alternately so fatigue would not be a factor to favor either revolver. Here are the targets: And: And finally: These were Birchwood Casey stick-on targets stuck onto a large target turned backward to me. This placed the bottom two too close to the floor for comfort to me. This is why the Ruger is on the right in the last photo. Bob Wright

Ruger looks a bit better, but I wouldnt run out and sell the Uberti right off. Good stuff. Try 10 grs in the Ruger. My Ruger SS Bisley shoots under an inch at 25 yds with the Speer 260 Jcktd bullet.

I have 14 Vaqueros and 1 Uberti. The Uberti is the only one that shoots POA. I wont overlook another if it has a decent price.

Let me hasten to add that I don't think this is a demonstration of superiority of the Ruger over the Uberti as to accuracy, but rather that the Ruger has slightly better sights. My Uberti has that nickel silver front sight, while the Ruger has that well defined quick draw blade on the ramp. The Ruger front sight has beemn my favorite to the point one of my Colts sports a Blackhawk front sight.

Its my gunsafe. I swear it started with just 2. And I must agree with the sight sentiment. I dont care for the Uberti's front sight and also the fence wire trigger is a bit to get used to.

Its narrow and thin. Takes some getting used to after all the years of the wider ruger triggers.

I have a
Ruger and an Uberti, not in the same caliber. They are both nice guns, but there is no doubt that the Ruger is the higher quality gun, the stronger gun, and will hold up better over the long run. That being said, the Uberti is plenty accurate, and I would never sell mine.

fourteen vaqueros!
Needed to take then two originals to the vet before this got out of hand.
Of course now, an extra one or two might not be noticed!
