Ok I have a pet peeve that I am going to vent on here: I hate outright liars and/or completely ignorant sales desrciptions on Gunbroker and other sights.
Yea I know what do I expect and just dont buy from them but I wandered over to Gunbroker a few minutes ago and typed un USFA. About half of the listing have inaccuracies in them.
One list one piece Micarta grips even though they clearly have a screw in them.
One says this Rodeo was "antiqued" but in reality someone just poorly stripped the factory finish from it and it doesnt look like the Gunslinger finish but they want premium money for it.
And one Rodeo is listed as a as a Single Action Army when it is just a Rodeo.
I am just picking on these few listings but I can look at any listing sets and find the same lies. Sure some might be from ignorance but it is funny that no one lists a Premier grade Freedom Arms as a Field grade but you sure see a lot of Field grades listed at Premier grades.
I cant stand liars and cheats...
I will get off my soapbox now...

Bill,
This rant leads me to believe there is a special place in your heart for politicians.

Don't get me started. I just paid $755 for a lovely sporterized Mauser 98 that showed up without a friggin' serial number. The ATF says it has to be cut into several pieces. Luckily the seller, who used the number off the bolt, made good on it.
Some sellers are dishonest, some are just stupid, some are both. I've got into it with several of them posting some wild crap in their listings.

I'll have to chime in here. Bought a set of grips off the afforementioned GLIAR.COM. Trusted the so called excellent seller feedback with 1000 supposed good sales. Wrong grips and wrong photo. Oh, and no response from said dealer or GLIAR.COM. Just glad I wasn't buying a $1200 revolver. I think I'll take my serious business elsewhere. Signed SIGHED

There's no law that says a pair of one piece grips can't also have a grip screw. I made a set of birds eye maple grips for my Uberti SAA and I also put a grip screw in them. Why? Just because I liked the look.

There is another side to this story - as a seller on there....
Had a guy win an AR15 lower from me. He couldn't secure a dealer to send it to and GB took his side and I'm out my listing and auction fees. ATF called me a few days later about him. Seems the reason he couldn't secure a receiving dealer was because he lived in California and was trying to ship it to some other person in Connecticut and was being investigated for straw purchases and illegal/unregistered NFA firearms.
Another fellow emailed me and wanted me to take down an auction that was at $975 with 45 minutes to go and sell it to him for a $900 shipped because "he had been saving up for it and now the price had gone up!". That auction ended at $1300.
Those are just two off the top of my head.

Hey guys! How about some cheese with that whine? Seriously the more we talk this stuff up and understand what goes on the better off we all are. There are way more honest sellers and buyers out there than crooks but the few stinkers smell it up for everyone.
