I just picked up a couple 32 h&r Mag single sixes, one bisley and one plow handle. The plow handle is likely off to Stroh shortly for some improvements, but would like to go out and shoot them both. Have brass ordered but need to settle on a bullet and looking for recommendations both on boolit and loads.
The 115 gr designs I have seen appeals to me, but no experience with it yet.
Any input appreciated.
Will

Mine loves 10.0 of H110 with a 115 grain hardcast. On the low-end I shoot 3.2 of Green Dot with the same bullet. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

There is no real bad load. I find mine are exceptional with the heavier bullets and the Ruger Single Six has ample strength for the 32 magnum heavy bullet loads.

If you research Sixshots threads, he also runs a mild load and kills all sorts of critters with it. The simple fact is the 32 magnum kills all out of proportion to its size on small game. It has replaced the 22 in my battery as a killing gun.

They had them 2 days ago! Thank goodness, Midway had some available. What is it with the .32 Mag? Suddenly, it's become popular again... I'll let you know how the 115gr LSWCs do. Had a local Georgia guy cast me 100 to try. Sized to .314" and look like a miniature Keith SWC design.

The 32 maggie is a real favorite & mine rides with me almost daily in the summer, nice & light & with my preferred light load of 3 grs of WST & a 100 SWC its lights out on ground squirrels snakes & rock chucks & is quiet enough I don't have to wear ear plugs, I absolutely hate them when walking.....but, everyone should use hearing protection, I don't with this load. Everyone should have a 32 to enjoy, they will shoot almost any load you put in them, I don't hot rod mine because I have a 327 handy, just in case a badger shows up.

I've got two, but the litte single-six usually get more 'use'. I run 100 or 115 gr casts (whichever I've got cast at the time) and 3.5grs Unique.

I have had the pleasure of shooting a little ruger 32mag. trouble is,32 cal.and 25 cal. were outlawed by a past liberal(DEMOCRAT)gouvernment. seems only criminals (IN CANADA) use these SATURDAY NIGHT calibers. go figure EH!! i di have my single six. 22lconvertible. but those 32s are "SWEET" WC

I have had good luck with the LBT 95 grn FP over 3.9 grains of Unique and the Hornady swaged 90 grn LSW over 4.0 grains. These are fairly mild loads, around 1050-1100 from a 6.5" barrel.

I have a Ruger buckeye 32 mag and 32-20 cylinder. I have shot a tc in 30-20 for years. So have a fair bit of an idea on that one. The 32 mag I have not fooled with enough to comment on. I do know my cylinder doesn't like the heavy I shoot in the 32-20. If I could find a lever gun for either would make me happy. The only bullets I have loaded for the 32 mag are some Hornady and some of the plated 90 trainers. I do have a new LBT that drops at 120 from my alloy but it is a gc design. Not real partial to a gc Ina wheel gun. Jeff
