Any bets on how far my .500JRH could throw that thing? ;D

Yeah. I wonder how that would work on a hard kicking big bore.

What about shooting a sabot from a modern muzzleloader?

Any bets on how far my .500JRH could throw that thing? ;D I was wondering the same thing about my 45/70 BFR with a stiff load. As far as the sabot goes i wonder how far off the muzzle a sabot separates from the bullet.

I like the idea behind the unit, but not for twice what a standard chrony costs.

I work at a shooting range. I have a few shooters that are using these chronys, and two that I know have used them on .338 Lapua Magnum chambered rifles. So far they have had good reports on them.

Yeah. I wonder how that would work on a hard kicking big bore. I've used one with my heavy .45 loads without any issue.

I'm always amazed at the technology that people bring to the table. I'd be glad to be rid of my basic Chrony for one of these. With the Chrony I am at times left to wonder if a reading is off, or if my handload really does have an extreme spread "that bad." No worries about light or muzzle blast or hitting a sky screen (mine are the old cardboard type, lol!), or worse (and I have not done this.... yet) blasting the unit itself to Haiti and back.
