Watching news, "Opiod Crisis" trials to begin. Talking heads not mentioning the post trial fall out. Remember the tobacco wars ? What happened to the cost of smokes after ? Think any of us will be able to afford necessary, needed prescription drugs after these trials ?

Am up early. The fine folks from Cable TV due here 9-10am.. Cable went wonky Fri evening. Was trying to watch those episodes of River of No Return but something wrong. So deleted them. Went back to regular signal channels and same same. GRRrrr ! Deleted for nothing. Sigh. So have limited channels on smaller TV in the dining room. Wife have been in Fla for near 3 weeks now and I'm doing both our chores and work, and hour drive each way..leaf season, etc.. Burned out and lost too much sleep and took a vacation day today. Oh, a young camp member got an 8pt buck Fri eve and then topped that by getting a bear with his muzzle loader Sat.! You can watch the show here: go.discovery.com/tv-shows/river-of-no-return/full-episodes/roaring-back-to-life

been getting cold lately... Monday, was raining cold & windy... I got pretty wet & cold all day, out on the forklift... doesn't help that the furnace for the offices, breakroom & bathrooms has been down every morning I've come in lately... different thing each day... but then it struggled through a dusty environment the 1st 5-7 years, until we got a better handle on the dust from the production rooms... thinking after 14 years, it's due for replacement this year... I must be starting to get old... as I never used to feel it... I'm now looking for a bigger denim jacket to wear over a hoodie for outside forklift driving at work... a bunch of rain Sunday & into Tuesday morning... still have standing water in the corn fields at home... guessing it'll be a while before they can start picking I'd like to get some shooting done this week ( got lots to do ) but need to get the farm ready for winter, & trying to get "gun list 2" ready so they can go to the Gunbroker seller... should be some interesting stuff on list 2... selling my S&W 396, & my Plum 44 Magnum Dan Wesson ( found the original box... now just need to round up the 2" barrel... 6" barrel is currently on that gun... a couple unfired Winchesters, one vintage lever action 30-30, & one that 270 Jack O'Connor tribute rifle... My Browning A Bolt Stainless Stalker in 375 H&H found it's way on to the list as well as a couple other rifles... Trying to decide which boxed / unfired CZ to keep... one a CZ-75B 80's vintage, one a CZ-85 80's vintage... thinking the only difference is the 85 has ambi controls... I love those 75's & am right handed, so I think the 85 will go on the list how's that for hijacking, covered at least 3 different subjects on one post... 4 if you count this question

What other contender barrels you got that are fun? I still love the 35 rem I bought off you last year, going to be in the woods for a second year in a row coming up soon!

Outside the 219 DW and 6mm BR already posted I'm holding a pair of Bullberry Improved barrels. A 25 BBI and a 6mm BBI... Then there is a 14 or 15 inch TC Custom Shop 7mm TCU...

Looking at new boxes of 350 Legend cartridges on the shelf. See 180 and 170 grain cartridges with crimped primers. 140 grain cartridges did not have crimped primers.

You real TC guys know who Bullberry is and what the 30-30 based Bullberry cartridges are. For the guys that don't know, the standard Bullberry cartridges look much like simply a necked down 30-30. There is another Bullberry cartridge set with short necks and blown out bodies that are called Bullberry Improved (BBI) cartridges. I've got a 25BBI and a 6mmBBI. Don't have dies for the 6mm but I do for the 25.

I always thought a 6.5BB Imp would be a good one.

I've been lusting over a 25 caliber contender for along time. Some reason when I look at the specs on the 25BBI they just don't really trip my trigger much. Then again, that's only Bullberry's data and I might be stretching what I'm realistically looking for in a handgun.
To me, the TCU's reign supreme. I'm waiting to see how my 30 Herrett works out as well when I finally get that set up.
