The local weather forecasters were going crazy on TV last night... over rode all the new TV shows starting... spent about 2 hours straight telling us we almost had tornados, almost had hail ( well there were a few small areas of hail ) & basically that the storm front, that rolled through looked worse than it actually was... someone needs to take away some of their new weather toys, until they learn how to use them... they spent more time "crying wolf" this last summer than forecasting actual weather...
a thunder BOOM for the page turn

I actually e-mailed the weather channel to complain. My weather was seldom on the "8's" anymore due to them having "shows". The small band across the bottom got smaller and hard to read. Their overgrown staff is now half "doctors" and half gals wobbling around on stripper shoes. Didn't get a reply. Ok, the the gals not so bad, at that...but have been looking for a weather source that remembers to tell me my weather.

I don't pay much attention to the weather forecasters. As they say,,,don't like the weather, it will change in an hour.

Friday? Shooting! Finally got to the loading bench yesterday and put together some 44 Special. Grabbed a brick of 22 too. Liking that PC 629 that transitioned from "looking good in the box" to "shooting good in the hand"

FWIW when you shoot cast bullet Specials in a magnum chamber you get a little carbon/lead build up in the chamber

Then you grab a magnum round and drop it in and it seats like this..

You give the magnum round a little push and it goes in like this

Think about it... The little hold off you've pushed the round over is just about the length of a good roll crimp.

I just picked up my first .480 ruger last night. I got the 6 1/2” blackhawk. Dies, mold, brass, etc already acquired. The throats measure .478” with pin gauges. I bought a lee sizing die off of ebay. It is supposed to be .476, but it won’t take a .474” pin gauge. It looks like I need to hone it out. I cast some mp-476-640 hp’s two weeks ago. I will size them and load a few rounds with unique and 2400. Tomorrow it is to the range.
