Nice day today, friends let us know no damage at home due to the bad storms yesterday. No damage here to the truck from debris blowing around. Had a lazy morning, nice lunch, went to finally see Avengers End Game, a very good movie, but loooong. Tomorrow if we feel really enthusiastic may hit a giant flea market.

Well, I've done it again. I am hopeless, I cannot resist a "mud puppy" you know those beat up guns that need some TLC... Just bought an old Colt Pocket Positive in .32 Police, 6" barrel, no grips, almost no finish left.
I need a keeper....

Well we made it through the first of 5 weddings for the summer yesterday. Neat young couple and the groom used to work for me and his brother bought our business. His wife likes old things so he asked if they could leave the wedding in the ‘56 so it had to get out, serviced and all cleaned up. They left dragging a few tin cans, grabbed take out then cane back to our house to eat, change clothes and swap back to their car to take off. It was fun to see them just sitting on the back deck, eating their favorite take out and looking at the mountains while contemplating all the last few hours meant to them.
That was yesterday. Today the couple who wants to get married here next weekend come over after church and we start decorating the shop and trees for their big day. I worked less before I retired!😀

Made it to the loading bench. Loaded some 147 grain 9mm for the Springfield RO and some 220 grain 300 BO/Whisper for the Windham AR Pistol. Planning to shoot 5 or six 10 round targets with the AR and see if we see any degradation in accuracy from the first target to the last. Monday is going to be F-U-N

Yesterday warmed up faster than usual and was for us, hot and humid. After dark rains cooled things down but the humidity remained. With a river in the backyard and vernal ponds and folks nearby with ponds and lakes we have a lots of turtles and frogs. Last night coming down the road at midnight had to dodge frogs the whole way down our road. Why I call my fog lights, frog lights. I use them more to keep from running frogs over. My dog loves it ! she'll sneak up behind a frog and "nose it". It'll jump forward, she jumps back.. Then starts sneaking again, repeat. Sooo funny ! I'm out in the middle of the road laughing like crazy. Folks around here already know I'm weird so no risk..

There is a secondary phase to frog nights. Raccoon mornings. Before first light the raccoons are tempted to be out on the road and slurp up the flat frogs, road killed frogs. Some of the raccoons join the flat frogs. Sigh.. Life with man.

About two every mile, I was very tempted to stop and shotgun some. trapr
