Looking around stumbled upon this. www.qual-cart.com/handgun.htmThe lure of properly headstamped brass is strong but my personal draw to the wildcats is the process of making brass..

That is who I got the last 300 22 CCM cases from... been thinking of having a run of "45 Walker" headstamped cases made for my custom Walker Conversion... my understanding is that they have to be able to get blank ( no headstamp ) cases in the parent cartridge to make the custom headstamped cases... guessing most of theirs are from Starline... in my case, they would have to get blank 460 S&W cases to headstamp those as 45 Walker

Wednesday... Busted through non stop 8" drifts all the way to town... no plows out yet... I did get behind one on the freeway, when I was just about to town... ditches are all full so it's piling up on the roads... easterly winds again... Driveway will fill in again... running out of places to put it... weather man says there are 2 more storms coming yet in the next week, & we already broke the all time record for most snow in February... going to crush that record this year...
funny the previous record was the 1st year I got my tractor... by the end of that winter, I had 10 ft piles of snow the full length of my 1/4 mile driveway... no piles so far out on the long part... but these easterly driving winds have it piled up on the building site, that has a good west & north wind break

Snowpocalypse has arrived!
Weather reports have been predicting as much as 20+" of snow starting last night & carrying on into tomorrow. The "newer" (mostly California x-plants) locals are near a panic & have cleaned out the grocery stores. We had a little bit of snow fall on the first of the year. Over 100 traffic accident reports within 8 hours.
Right now there might be 6" accumulation of snow on the ground. No big deal. Funny how some folks are behaving. Don't think they would survive in real snow.

yup... we keep a fully stocked pantry on the farm... I could probably go all winter without "having" to go to town... might run out of cheese & a couple other comfort foods... but certainly no need to go clean out the stores, no matter the prediction...
sounds like there will be good skiing in the spring

It is beginning to look like the weather forecast may be somewhat accurate. Already 4X the amount of snow on the ground that would have triggered Kate Brown into declaring an emergency & calling in the National Guard.

Got home late last night after sending 8 days in southern CA. Sand Diego is going through one of the wettest stretches they have seen in recent years and several of the days it rained like a cow peeing on a flat rock! Luckily most of my house projects for the kids involved inside work but it was a hassle moving tools back and forth from the driveway to the garage when the sky let loose. Still we got most of the pre-sale projects done except for straightening out some hinky wiring but I told the daughter to buck up and spend the money on an electrical to straighten those two issues out. The last of the sheet rock wrapped windows go trimmed out, exterior window edges recaulked, a mantle built and installed on the to of the fire place, dings from the 4 year old grandson riding scooters toys in the house patched and a host of other little items. They met with a realtor ans she agreed on all the items on the list as being helpful for the sale.
We did take one day and travel to Joshua Tree NP and were able to see the diversity of life in the desert! A beautiful park if you ever get to that part of the country. We took another day that was nice and went to the San Diego Zoo's Wildlife Safari Park which is about 10 times as large as the zoo in town and it was neat to actually see Cape Buffalo, Eland etc and dream about the Africa trip that will never happen except in the mind.
Overall a productive trip and hopefully the last project driven trip before they move to their next assignment outside of Las Vegas which happens this summer.
