38 Short Colt Unique load ran well... Loaded 100 more to see how they run on a longer shooting session... So, 100 BOOMS!??!

More like 100 booms…
Using new Colt snub. Haven't run anything over the chrono. Intent was to load 2.5 grains. Looking for 750 FPS. Thinking the charge may be a bit light. Dropped 10 charges into the scale pan. Expecting 25 grain total weight. Came out a little light.

Tuesday morning! More 38 Short Colt shooting today. Running some of my 45 wadcutter loads through a scandium frame S&W 45 ACP revolver too. The light weight of this gun results in crimp jump when most standard off the shelf 45 ACP ammo is fired in it. Local dealer does not stock light target stuff so we are testing the gun with my personal paper punching stuff.

rest of the snow should melt today.... breezy & 50 is the forecast... we set a new record shortest time between last snow & 1st snow ( we had snow 3 times last April ) less than 6 months between last 1" of snow of last year, & the 1st 1" of snow this year... no wonder it doesn't seem like I got much done this summer...
pitched 11 tractor bucket loads out of the sheep barn last Sunday in the snow... I still have the pig pen to clean up so the last 2 pigs we are keeping over winter have inside shelter for the winter... muscles are pretty tired yesterday & today...
hoping for some indian summer... the top is still down on the convertible in the shed... would like to take it out, & drive it a couple more times, get the oil changed, & clean it up, before I put it to bed for the winter... should buy a new battery tender for it... The SS gets an oil change this week, and tires a little over filled to prevent flat spots, a fresh wash, before putting the battery tender on it, & installing the car cover... getting ready to put that one to bed for the winter too...

Ruger Custom Shop? If it's been mentioned here, search didn't find it.
A 10/22 & a Koenig 1911 at first, more specialty items to follow. Maybe some single actions?

Hope it works well for them... The mall ninjas will like it. Me? Not so much. There are semi customs out there for less that the maker will guarantee they will shoot at 50 yards. For a few hundred more you can have KC Crawford build you the best on the planet...
