WE will BBQ ! In my hood, a pig roast, 3 houses away. While not what we generally think of as a BBQ gun, the LCR gets the nod. In years in this hood, the only thing I've shot was a raccoon, likely had distemper. Wobbled his way into a yard full of people and kids. Mid-day, so...bang ! Otherwise, nobody will see the goofy little half plastic Ruger. It will quietly so it's job.

Well, I reckon that my newest sixgun will handle a raccoon that arrives for BBQ. I had just missed buying a pre-owned 5.5” blued NM Single Six, .32 H&R, at a local gun shop. Another buyer acted, while I was still thinking about it. When a really-clean-looking pre-owned stainless 5.5” NM Single Six, .22 WMR, became available, not long afterward, at the same store, I decided to do an on-line buy, rather than first drive to look at it. It was a couple of days before I could make the time to get to the store, so, I picked it up Thursday, the 16th. I really like the was Single Six handles, balancing more like a traditional SAA-sized sixgun, rather than the more muzzle-heavy Blackhawks, of the same barrel length.

Well, a lot of pretty country between there and home. Enjoy the drive if you can, orange barrel/cone season.. I'm not fond of tech., but maybe a time for GPS and routing, to avoid construction ?

Looking forward to the service at the local cemetery on Monday to honor the fallen and visiting the graves of many family members that rest there.
Happy Memorial day everyone, remember the reason for the day.

The service at the cemetery on Monday was very nice, a mix of a Catholic mass and military tradition as usual. Local VFW and boy scouts involved with presenting the colors at the beginning. The priest said mass over the hood an army jeep like in WWII and right on cue as the final song was ending we got a fly-over from a pair of F15's. How awesome is that?
