Looks nice. Those Cimarrons seem to be a lot of gun for the money.

Nice! Does it have the pinched frame or square notch sights?

Bob Congratulations. I'm also one who thinks the Cimarron guns are well made & a pretty good value! As for the cartridge,,,,, well the .44 Special has been well covered before. I'm betting the range time will go well. Nice gun, thanks for sharing. Frank PS: I forgot to ask, what is the medallion on the stocks? Is it a special order? Thanks. FV

PS: I forgot to ask, what is the medallion on the stocks? Is it a special order? Thanks. FV If you look very closely (at the real thing) it says "Cimarron". These are standard on the Model P with Pre-war frame, as are the cross bolt base pin latch and crescent head ejector rod. The Black Powder frame has plain grips, button head ejector rod, and the screw type base pin retainer. I tried to get the plain grips on my gun, but they fit the grips to the grips straps and won't change unless you order extra and have fitted by their 'smiths. I like plain wood, even on my Rugers. And the Pre-War has the square notch rear sight. Bob Wright

I have had one similar to yours for many years. Unfortunately, I can no longer see the sights (Red Dots are a blessing to me, these days). It is still like new and shoots well under an inch at 25 yards with the Skeeter Load. Mine had a superb trigger and the only complaint I have is that the mainspring was entirely too heavy. I installed a Wolf Spring and now every thing is "good to go". One of the best values to be had: The color temperature is a bit off (it is not purple LOL)... Dale53

My local gun dealer had a set of 44 Specials like these. I would have bought at least one if they had been 4-5/8" instead of 5-1/2". Of course, now that I look at the cost of new ones I kick myself for not picking them both up.
