Its a Redhawk 41 mag. by Jim Stroh. I picked it up on Gunbroker after it went a couple cycles with no buyer and my willpower finally ran out. It deserved more than factory grips so I called Patrick. The 6" full lug barrel gives it a really nice balance and I'm always a sucker for a 41 mag anyway.

Very well done. The red eagles and full lug are nice touches. And you couldn't have picked a better caliber...at least in my opinion. Like you I'm a middle bore fan. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Is the backstrap stippling rough on your hand? I've considered doing that to my Redhawk (and possibly my j-frame carry gun).

One more question, are those scallops on the barrel for scope rings? Been thinking about having something like that done to my 5.5" Redhawk, but didn't know if it had been done before.

Backstrap looks like hand cut checkering to me. Stroh does really nice work.

The barrel is scalloped for Ruger rings. Comes in handy when working up loads. The back strap is hand checkered and it helps with a firm grip without being uncomfortable. Especially so with a fairly heavy gun in a lighter caliber.
