What holster is Jeff Bridges using in the new True Grit? I know it's a crossdraw, just wondering if anyone knows who made it and what style or model it is.
I'm looking for a decent rig for a 7.5" SAA.

A chest rig, while practical, isn't really what I'm looking for.

Wasn't it a Slim Jim type? There are lots of good Slim Jims but my favorite is El Paso's 1849 Californian. Got one for my Open Top but for some reason, no pics. C.O.W.S. makes a nice one too, have one of those in a crossdraw for 5½" SAA's. On the right in this pic. I don't know - but gitchee a Simply Rugged "Chesty Puller" rig. Comfortable, rugged, versatile, and affordable. Been thinking about getting one like that for my stainless Bearcat, along with a Bowen lanyard ring. It would be the perfect fishing rig.

Definitely a Slim Jim design but the cant is a little steeper than usual. I'm about to make something similar for my 3rd Model Dragoon .45Colt.
Simply Rugged had a REALLY nice floral carved Slim Jim on the website a while back. If I was wanting one, I'd talk to Rob about another one like that. I love his oxblood color and a lot of other makers don't offer anything like it. EPS is either tan or black. They won't do their reddish brown color on anything but the Jesse James rig.

It ought to! That's a neat little holster.

Heres the crossdraw I made for my jrh. Its not finished. It sits higher, and is snug against the body. A sweatshirt would cover it. I don't have a shot of it on, and the gun is at MRI.

If you want a slim jim style holster or a more modern style for a SA I'd look at Old West Reproductions. Rick makes a great holster & quality is tops. He builds holsters after originals. www.oldwestreproductions.comFrank I have a couple of Ricks holsters & they are great. FV
