Excellent buy. Those old Iver Johnsons were stout and the buntline version is rare. Let us know how it shoots. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

THAT is a find and a half. I'd ripped my back pocket off getting my wallet out.

I like that a LOT! Great new concealed carry piece! ;D very fine lookinf tool. Is the gripframe not screwed tight to the frame or is it just in need of some fitting? Either way, a bargain and a great shooter and conversation piece.

OK, Update....
BTW, on the top of the barrel is says "Regulator". I have four other Uberti Regulators. All identical to this "Iver Johnson. One of them I recently converted to 38-40 so I have a spare 5.5" 45 barrel available if I tire of the 12" Buntline.
Fixed the lose screw on the grip frame. Didn't even notice it until I saw the photographs.
Took it to the range last night. It was extremely accurate but would "fling" a round every now and again outside the group. I cleaned about a bullets worth of lead out of the barrel. Huge long shrads of lead came out using a copper cleaning pad wrapped around a bronze brush. After this the accuracy was "rifle like!"
I have an 8" steel disc at 50 yards and I hit it 80% of the time with a two hand hold. That long sight plane and heavy barrel really helps it settle down.
The trigger is beautiful. I'm not sure if someone worked on it or not, but the action is extremely smooth and the trigger breaks like on my competition SAA revolvers.
The grip frame is cut on the bottom for a shoulder stock. Sure wish the barrel was 16"....... ;D
Yup......I'm a happy camper!
