I ran across this unconverted beauty and was able to work out a trade for something that doesn't see much range time anymore. While this Ruger has a few battle scars, I would say it is holding up nicely for a gun made in 1968. I cannot wait to heat it up! Sorry about the size of the picture, but I'm struggling a little with Photobucket.

That jewel is the exact same gun I started my custom revolver journey on! That said, it does not get much better than that right there for a great power package in my opinion.

Thanks. I plan on finishing my reloading bench in the next week or two and then I can start working on loads.

Mr. Taffin, I felt it was apropriate given your books (kindly signed, thank you) were the inspiration for my last several purchases and trades... including this one. Of course, this forum hasn't helped my rainy-day-fund balance, either!

Great looking OM and the backdrop is indeed fitting. The first single-action I ever shot was my dad's 3-screw 41. It was a 4 5/8" like yours and to this day it's one of my favorites. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

What book or magazine is that in the background? Looks a lot my Grampa's '73 .357. Very nice.

That is Mr. Taffin's excellent treatise, "SINGLE ACTION SIXGUNS" pgs 128/129.

Book of the 44? I don't have that one yet. I guess my Christmas list just grew by one!

That is one sweet 41 OM!! I have a NM thats as nice, but I cant find an OM as nice to match it with. Great find!
As for Mr Tafin....that guy has cost me some serious change over the last 10 years or so!! I read his books and articles and the fevers hits anew!! Keep it up Mr Taffin, I do love your work!
