I have ruger 41 mag unfired new in box. I'm thinking about having it customize any ideas. I would still like it be a 41 cal

Customizing can be a very personal thing, depending on your tastes. It can also range from minor touches to lavish beauty, both mechanically and astetically.
Not knowing your tastes nor even what you have. I will make the following suggestions.
Good trigger / action job and Good sights are the best places to start. Secondly are grips that are well fitted to both your gun and to you.
The rest, well the sky is the limit.
all the best Todd

Everything Todd suggests is very good advice. At a minimum, those items should be features of any custom job you might undertake. Since you don't plan on rechambering to a different caliber, and assuming the barrel length is to your liking, the only thing I might add would be a CCH frame, and high polish blue to the rest.
While you're at it, you might install a super hammer, assuming you like them.
I like a .41 myself, so I can't blame you for keeping the caliber!

Case color frame, black powder bevel, 'n brass grip frame? Plus, all the usual tuning/accuracy work.

I dont have a budget in mind Start there and see how you like it. A good trigger goes a long way to making a revolver go from good to great. Huntington's bluing is first rate. Keep us posted.

You could have the cylinder rechambered to a 41GNR (44mag necked down to 41mag). Also Gary Reeder's bluing is the darkest bluing Ive ever seen and his grip fitting is first rate, his pricing is really better then most.
Jack Huntington's work is a good as anyone's and his turnaround and pricing is really cheap for the quality work he puts out.

Why stop at Reeder's 41 GNR... Whole hawg gets you to a custom oversize 5 shot cylinder and a 410 GNR...

I'd even consider sending to Alpha Precision for the same treatment but add in one of Stroh's elegant scalloped front sights with interchangeable blades and a Bowen rear sight. Maybe even a black powder chamfer.

"Shoot it" Dang! One voice of reason in the midst of all the insanity! Could we at least wrap a little duct tape around the grips?

Reeder's polished black chrome is gorgeous, almost black and like a mirror. He can also do a CCH, I think through Turnbull, for $300 for the grip frame/loading gate so its pricey. His polished black chrome on the rest of the gun is another $150, so it's a $450 proposition but my gosh its nothing short of stunning. Reeder can do as much or as little as you want on that 41 Mag. He can turn a full custom conversion in less then 6 months including refinishing. Its all a matter of how much you want to spend. A full 5 shot caliber conversion with ALL the bells and whistles will go around $1,500 plus the cost of the donor gun. I have two of his conversions, two at his shop now in the works, and possibly another one about to go out to him in the next week or two. He does great work, and you don't have to get the bling engraving on it if you don't want it, that just comes on his package guns.
