What are those grips and where did you get them? Stag from Eagle grips. I wanted as little bark as possible. I really like the way they turned out. Jeff

Jeff ............. really appreciate your Gunblast article on the Schofield, covering TK moonclips and other accessories. Great help to anyone like me, interested in Schofield Top Break No.3 - 2nd Model revolvers. Also prefer smooth Sambar Stag grips for their great color, feel and look on SA's, particularly good lookin' on your Schofield. Good choice.

I saw that article. At first, I thought you converted a "real" Smith and Wesson Schofield (at least one of the Performance Center 2000 models). That is a great and practical conversion. 45 ACP is super common. Great idea. That's why I converted one of my Dan Wessons to shoot 9mm Parabellum using the same outfit you used. DW41f.

The article was originally written on my conversion of a genuine S&W Model of 2000, and recently updated to include the Navy (Uberti) conversion. I have had both converted. Jeff Here is the S&W:

Both look great Jeff, but I especially like the top one. Minimal bark on the stag and mild colored case-hardening looks spot on. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"
