Technically, this isn't my first S&W. It is the first one that made it home. I went to the gun show today with the full intention of selling a couple extraneous NM Single Sixes. Had a fellow just inside the door who wanted them, but didn't want to reach into his wallet. He had this S&W 624 (no dash) sitting on the table. Endshake is minimal if there at all, as is the B/C gap. S/N is outside the ranges for the recall, as far as I can tell (AHB prefix) A handshake later, I'm up one 6.5" 44 SPL, and down two NM Single Sixes. Despite lots of tire kickers for the rest of the show, it seems those of us who appreciate the 44 SPL remain in the minority. I told my lady when I swapped into it, I won't feel bad if I have to keep this one. I feel good about the deal. Let me know how I did.

Makes my heart skip a little everytime I see one. IMHO they haven't made a better profile to look at in blue or stainless and when it's in .44 Spl.....well, if you ever feel like you were had on that trade let me know and I will alleviate you of that bad trade to get it off your mind.

That's a nice looking 624. I admit, though, that I don't understand how "extraneous" and "Single Sixes" can fit together in the same sentence.

Nice pick-up. I've always wanted one of those. Let us know how it shoots. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"
