Just got this today and so tickled I had to post it. I stumbled across it here the same day I ordered the same darn gun from John. Now need to call and change the order up for a sister in 475. One of these days--maybe when I get grip frames back from Scott, I will have to take a Linebaugh family photo. Need to get my press remounted in the loading room to roll up some to take out into Prince William Sound next weekend--one of several bear hunts this spring. Thanks for allowing me to share.

Nice snag. The fact that you have one gun out for a remodel and came across this one reminds me of a post Axe made in my thread about sending out a gun for my first custom. And I quote: "Guns exactly like you are having built will become available at dirt cheap prices. Nothing you can do about it. Just the nature of the beast. Best thing to do is buy every dang one of them you can. That way you won't be able to wish that you had.. " Once again nice snag. I really enjoyed your Alaska pictures too.

And You guys thought I was just funning with you... It happens to me again and again.. Looking forward to seeing this one sometime in the future with some polished spots from being hauled around in a piece of leather..

That's a really slick conversion. What loads are you planning on using? -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Loads are the next question. We've been moving the past month between homes and getting the old one up for sale I have yet to remount my 550 to its new bench--so need to get after it. I want to work up something for 440LFN at about 1200 with H110/W296 which is what the sights are said to regulate--and some others in the 385-400ish with HS6. I have to dig through my boxes and find out what lightweight boolits I have.
This little baby will certainly see some use in the near future. Need some leather and a canvas chest holster. I have a couple of the canvas rigs made by a guy up in Palmer Alaska and love them for multiway hunts. Works well with my pack and dries quickly between rainy days.

My 435 WFN load is 29.0 grs of H110. That said, I'm moving more towards 525 WFNs at 1,100 fps. I'm load testing those on Friday so I'll let you know how they shoot. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

New to me 500 Linebaugh. Will and I traded. He needed a shorter barrel, I needed a longer one. I am happy we are happy!
