The 454 is nearly consecutive to mine, but not quite. But, the 45Colt happens to be the mate to my 454.....serial #00305. Interesting. Would loved it had you snapped a picture or two. Nothing stainless on the 45 other than the grip frame?

Nope, just the grip frame and nothing else, rest of the gun is high polish blue and fairly strait grained wood grips. Is that a silver Seville or just a neat configuration? It is new, you can tell its been turned, but not many time. Cylinder was clean enough I did not ask tomcock the action. Box was pretty minty too. Only picture I snapped was the box end that had the label. Fair value on the 45?
Thanks

...Perry, he took two sheep in the Wrangles with the 454, one at about 100 yards and the other closer to 180yrds. He also took one grizzley... Wow, cool, thanks. That's impressive. The guy must know his gun, load and how to shoot. I've sheep hunted the Wrangels twice. In fact, if I decide to do a wheelgun sheep hunt it I think it will be a solo walk-in in the Wrangels.

When Sig own Sporting Arms Inc. most stainless gripframe models were marked "Silver Seville". Some even had stainless barrels: When Jeff Munnell's group took over in '84 they continued to make blued guns with stainless backstraps: Most of the United Sporting Arms guns weren't marked "Silver". As for the 45's value, I'd say $800 - $850. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Just noticed, Lee. Your little 41 mag shares a serial number with Bane's shortened 454. It sure would be neat to know the route these guns have taken to end up in the hands that currently own them.

Yep, it would be interesting to know the full history on each. Based on my serial number research, both would've been built in early 1984. I do know that my "00400" was the first of a set of four consecutive stainless gripped 41's. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"
