Hello, i recently received my brand new uberti hombre from stoeger the other day, my old hombre was sent back for repair for the second time and now stoeger decided to send me a new gun, i went to the club to try it out and to my displeasure it was shooting 4 inches left, i tried every load and bullet weight i could and still 4inches left, i decided to carefully widen the rear notch and that helped a little. The front sight is very thick so bending is out of the question, i then started filing the front sight on the right side to make it thinner and low and behold it now shoots dead on out to 25 yards, a little cold bluing and now all is well, pghrich

I have done this a number of times with some success. If the correction needed is very large you wind up with a real skinny front sight sometimes.

Turning the barrel is the correct, although not as easy solution. Filing one side leaves no corrective measure available to you short of welding a new blade on if you file too much...

Hello, i totally agree about turning the barrel being the correct way to adjust windage, but, i really don't feel competent enough to do a task like that and if the factory does it i believe you are taking a risk that the adjustment may not be correct for me[everyones shooting style is a little different] besides i kinda like a skinny front sight, pghrich
