Thanks for your help. I am making a list of things to check out and ask about. The pictures he supplied looks like a pristine gun. I looked on Gunbroker to see if there were any grips but all I saw was an offering for a set of rubber grips like it has on it and they wanted $299 for the rubbers. Is that a realistic price on rubber grips?

$300 for a set of Pachmyrs??? The seller needs to lay off the pipe. That's ridiculous. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

If they ARE worth that much I have enough for another gun. ;D I think the price for a FG gun with two cylinders is very reasonable. Be sure to check the forcing cone for excessive wear. You won't be able to buy grips (other than the rubbers) for your gun without having them fitted. None of my FA 83's have grips that will fit on any of my others. Dan

It doesn't matter now. After setting up a time to meet I got a call and was told he sold it to someone else. I guess that one wasn't meant to be mine.

FA no longer stocks or sells their rubber grips. Even the Field Grade now comes with "wood" grips.

Just because something is no longer made doesn't make it worth 6 times its original cost just ask someone with a "Yugo" . I think the reason they no longer sell them is they are fuglee $40.00 grips that very few people liked on a $1500+ gun!
