Hello Gents,
I've got the S&W Grips info down pretty pat.
I know BFR's don't interchange with anything unless they are the early series but I'm a Ruger newbie about the frames/grip interchangeability.
I've got a Bicentennial New Model Blackhawk convertible in 45LC/45ACP. It came with custom grips that are meh! Nice wood but fitted by a monkey.
The stock grips got busted up in the mail (thanks a bunch guys). So I'm looking for another set.
Lots of options out there but I don't know if I specifically need NM Blackhawk or if Super Blackhawk will swap on or if Vaquaro grips will work.
Pretty sure XR3 and Bisley grips won't fit but am otherwise clueless.
Any input would be great!

Howdy, your gun uses the XR3-RED gripframe. This means you can use grips off most any new model blackhawk or vaquero as long as they are NOT the new flat top models. You can not use Super Blackhawk grip panels nor the old original XR3 flattop grips. I am not sure about the newer midsized vaqueros fitting. You could also use old model 3 screw blackhawk grips if I am not mistaken. Make sure you get grips that are NOT set up for the ugly lock system Ruger used for awhile and may still be using.
