Does anybody sell "snazzy" pin-in Ruger front sight blades?
The SBH that belongs to my step son needs a taller front sight. It has one that is about .350". My Accu-Sport has one that is more like .430" and I think that's about what it needs for .44 specials.
I could get a boring Ruger front....

We have a forum member who makes the pin in Ruger blades. All I remember is "Fowler." I believe there is more than one...

I almost hate to ask, but do you have any PICS?
Gonna PM Fowler.

Dave Clements sells a Patridge front sight of his own design. I have one, works great. Call him. 276-238-8761, Clements Custom Guns for pics.

Ok, now where do I get the proper pin punch to remove the blade without screwing stuff up?
I made due before and my Accu-Sport has the scars to show it.

Roll pin punch from Brownell's (1/16-inch).

Dennis, I believe Fowlers sight was for a FA or Reeder type front sight base, not a pin in.

I believe Sixshot's son made one for him as well, so he may be able to make you one. A piece of mild steel of the proper thickness would have you in business. Just remove everything that isn't a sight.... Also, when you drill the cross pin remember to drill about half from one side, then the other half from the other side. If you have a good drill press, just clamp it in with the drill bit through the hole and you should be able to drill straight through with the sight in place.

Hand tools only here, but I am seriously considering making one. I already have some 1/8" steel I grabbed from the scrap bin at work (11 years ago for another project....).
