Picked this one up last week. NMFT 25-20 by John Gallagher. I would prefer a longer barrel in 25-20 but the price was right. My partner has a Win 92 in quarter bore so this will go well with it.

Really nice custom Gary. The 25-20 is often overlooked but it's a good revolver round. My dad did one on an OM 357 back in the early 90s. They're accurate, light recoil, and easy on the wallet when reloaded. Let us know how it shoots. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

What's not to like about that one and talk about a unique caliber. Do you know who did the stags?

Congratulations! I too would be curious to see how it shoots. Always had an itch for a 25-20 revolver. Just picked up a Marlin 25-20 as its a fun little round to play with.

I havent pulled the grips to see if they are marked. Not sure if Sack marks his or not but that would be my guess. When I had JG do my 32wcf he mentioned he was doing a 25. I emailed him to see if he recalled this one. My partner shot a few rounds through it this weekend and thought it had an action problem. I figured out the base pin was not fully seated which allowed the transfer bar to catch on the firing pin. We will wring it out as soon as possible and let you know.
Lee any load suggestions for a short barrel revolver? I know my partner already loads for his 92.

Gary.....I like 11.0 of IMR-4198 with a 90 grain plain base cast bullet (FN). That powder may be a little slow for a 5" barrel but the load is very accurate. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

i picked one up at a gunshow here years ago....amazingly accurate and fun to shoot. here it is paired it with my model 53 winchester in 25/20 price was right $325.00! and considering i found the 53 in a pawn shop for 265$ a few years before, makes a good cheap combo!
