Dick, I really love that gun! I never tire of that picture! +1 Only thing that slows me down, other than cost, is remembering how little I enjoy shooting 335's at 1250 out of my 45 Colt. And I know that's a "Whitworth plinking load".

Dick's gun is the model everyone wants the factory to offer. Again, I just don't see it happening. It doesn't hurt or cost anything to keep pestering Ruger though. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

One of the problems is the fact that big-bore revolvers constitute a small percentage of their sales, so there really needs to be some compelling reason to offer something unique.

Gunsmiths shorten barrels all the time. Yep. My 7.5" 475 BFR is getting cut back to 6.0" right now. It'll be topped with one of 2Dogs front sights and Jack Hunington is extending the gripframe. The panels will be white micarta. It doesn't take much time or money to make a BFR look "right". And we all know they shoot "right" factory stock. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time" Any idea how much he charges for the grip extension and to get the barrel cut down. Also were do you find grips after the grip work. Thanks

Jack gets $300 with the grips. He has white micarta on-hand so he'll fit my panels. My gripframe went out yesterday. I'll be sure to post photos when it returns. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"
