I dont know but speaking for myself, if we could get them with a pinned in front and NO dang barrel restriction I might buy 4 or 5.... I think the reason they dont make em also includes the possibliity they cant figure out a cost effective way to keep the dang ERH on the barrels! MR uses glue. I have some - for my Rugers. What are we talking about here? ERH? Glue? ?

Yes. The ERH is glued on. It's not permanent glue, but works and holds things in place.
Most people will never remove the ERH, so it is a non-issue. If you do ever remove it, glue it back on. I have not removed my ERH from my BFRs, but the one on my Ruger Bisley has to be tightened all the time - like every time I take it out to shoot it. I haven't glued it yet, but it's on the "list".

OK, got it. took me a while to figure out what the ERH was, duh. Ejector rod housing! Had me goin there for a bit. I have swapped out ejectors on Rugers lots of times so have had these off. I just put a little lock-tite on the threads and no problems. Never had one launch into space like some guys have. I have to go round with a screwdriver on most of my revolvers and tighten things up after a shoot, though never did on my Freedom 83 .454. Fine gun but needed money to help finance my most recent safari so being of some value it got sold. But have a BFR coming soon in .480 to make up for it and a lousy safari last summer.

On some of the SBH's Locktite doesnt even work since the screw goes into an eustacion?? that is pressed into the barrel.

As long as its threaded lock-tite works. Not to say that what holds the screw might not come loose too.

Anyone know what type of glue Magnum uses on the ERH? And where can I buy some?

I love Ruger Bisleys but I am just about to give up on them and start bugging the BFR folks to make more of there small frame guns with some shorter barrels. If I could just get a BFR .480 ruger with that 5 in barrel like there .44 shorty without having it custom done.

Gunsmiths shorten barrels all the time. Yep. My 7.5" 475 BFR is getting cut back to 6.0" right now. It'll be topped with one of 2Dogs front sights and Jack Hunington is extending the gripframe. The panels will be white micarta. It doesn't take much time or money to make a BFR look "right". And we all know they shoot "right" factory stock. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Anyone know what type of glue Magnum uses on the ERH? And where can I buy some? You could always use a little epoxy. Used that on sixgun scope mounts back in the 1980s. A little heat was all it took to break it free.

I knew a guy that used epoxy on a Ruger and it worked well. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

I have a SRH 480R and it is really nice.
Why Ruger would drop it is still a mystery to me.
I am planning to get a 45 Colt Bisley and would get a 480R… but not a custom yet.
My 3 Sons are getting married this year.
