-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i have a beretta stampede i use for cas it cam with the classic black grips , ive been looking for some sort of a replacement in wood i dont like the beretta wood they offer, that big beretta insert just kills it for me, ive looked at imitation ivory and they look good but are always thicker and feel sort of off for my smaller hands, and help?

Klamath River Woodworks used to catalog Stampede grips. I just checked and the website is down. The contact telephone number is (or was) 541-892-2269. You might give that a try.

My Stampede is fitted with the faux stag grips as seen in many of the old B westerns and on Matt Dillon's Colt seen hanging on the wall on Gunsmoke. Years ago, many of these were made by the Franzite company and Bob Lescovic at www.propistolgrips.com has the original molds. Wish I were good at posting pics.
