I just listed a scarce 4 3/4" barrel 357 mag Virginian Dragoon on GunBroker. www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=282310657I know many here like them so I thought I'd let you know. It's an interesting gun...Interarms Virginian Dragoon marked, with the base pin safety ("Swiss" safety?), and an H0571 s/n...not sure if the H is for Hammerli or not. I don't know if this gun is an early Dragoon made with Swiss parts. I just don't know enough about them so any input would be appreciated. BB45C

Does not appear to be a Hammerli....rather a U.S. manuf. gun. I have one (an adjustable sight gun - and it's absolutely the heaviest .357 I own!....mine has a longer barrel....probably 6" or there-abouts.
I also have a Deputy (like the one you are selling) but chambered in .45 Colt.
Good luck with the auction.

According to majorkap, NO Virginian Dragoons are Hammerli made, period.

I have the exact same gun in stainless. This is an Interarms Virginian Dragoon from the Midland, VA plant. The serial number puts production around 1982. There's an article on my website detailing the history of these guns if you're interested. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"
