I had another 100 round session of 475 Linebaugh today. Turned out to be one of my best days of shooting in years. The groups pictured below were shot at 50 yards, bench rested. The load was my standard 27.0 of H110 with a 420 WFN. These are by far some of the best groups I've ever placed at that range. I post all these target threads to prove a point. For one, these cannons can be tack-driving accurate. Secondly, with practice anyone can learn to manage the recoil. It does take a lot of volume shooting to get there though. But once you do the smaller stuff seems cupcake (44 Mag, 45 Colt, etc). I think all too often folks buy 454s, 475s, and 500s and never "flex" them. Shoot the hell out 'em with top-end and you'll be surprised how proficient you can get after a few thousand rounds. Just my two cents and thanks for looking. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

I always tell the guys here that they are often better shots than they might believe. The trick is to get your gun shooting properly. Very well done Lee. Very well indeed.

Very nice.
Have you been hanging around Jim again?
That is very impressive with iron sights.

Hey Lee,
Very nice!
Do you use a manufactured rest (i don't mean a Ransom) or just shoot off sandbags?

Must not be the Jim I'm thinking of. He'd just harass you about the Bisley grip frame. ;D

Another 20-30,000 rounds and maybe I'll be half that good. Really nice shooting.

Do you use a manufactured rest (i don't mean a Ransom) or just shoot off sandbags? I use a Caldwell rest: BTW, someone on the Ruger Forum asked how my hands have held up to 20 plus years of rounds like these. So far my palms and wrists are fine. My middle finger knuckle can't say the same. In fact, it almost always looks like this: -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"
