Has anyone tried Clements "other" Vaquero rear sight? It has more of a target blade and looks like it would give a great sight picture similar to a Bowen. The S&W pre-war sight definitely looks better the way its mounted, but I would kinda like a larger rear blade. On the other hand it may ruin the lines of the topstrap. What do you guys think? Pictures please if anyone has them.

I like the one I have seen, though never handled, that Justin Linebaugh is doing. Boge's got good photos of it.

This has me thinking about a conversion on a Vaquero I spoke to Jack Huntington about. He suggested a Smith and Wesson model 60 rear sight.

Thanks bushog. That's the one I was wondering if anyone had used or seen. I just couldn't figure out how to post the picture or link to it. I appreciate the pic's of the S&W type sights, and agree that they are probably the best looking. Again, it looks like the first one shown in your link would give a very good sight picture, but I'd have to see a few more mounted to make up my mind about the looks.

Obviously. I was suggesting what I consider a better looking and as functional fixed sight alternative with the Linebaugh option.
