I have a Sporting Arms, Inc. .357 Max Seville. SN is 357M-2002. I'm sure they didn't make 2000+ stretch-frame Sevilles. Anyone know where they started the serialization for the .357 Max guns? I'm especially curious if they started it at 2000 or 2001, for obvious reasons. BTW, it came in a wood-grain United Sporting Arms, Inc. marked box with no end-label. I'm pretty sure the box is original. The stocks are Pachmayrs, which I'm also pretty sure are original.

Sig started the 357 Max line in late 1981/early 1982. The first gun went to Elgin Gates and it was custom numbered. A few other prototypes were done with non-standard SNs before full production. That run began with "357M-2000" so yours is the third built. If you ever go to sell it, let me know....it's consecutive to one of my Sporting Arms Maxs. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

Lee,
Will do! Thanks for confirming my rusty memory! Nice to know it works.
