My wife & I have been home from Arizona for a month now & I'm already getting cabin fever. If it isn't snow, its rain, if it isn't rain, its wind, some days its all 3 at the same time. I have managed to do a little casting & some limited shooting. My oldest son & I went for a little drive saturday to see how the ground squirrels had wintered. We've been seeing a few & quite a few rock chucks but the wind has been giving us a lot of grief. This is a Mountain Blue Bird, the state bird of Idaho. We also spotted over 100 deer feeding in the sagebrush & mohogany trees. A couple of ek that we drove right up on. This is an old Homesteader grave yard out in the middle of no where. Don't know if you can see it but the mother was born in 1836, that makes her older than Callshot! After we got home I whipped up some "Sixshot" beef strogonoff, I had just finished it when someone knocked on the back door, yup, it was Callshot with a big smile on his face, he's a sly old rooster! Two blocks away & he could smell my masterpiece. My recipe will usually feed 6, but old Callshot said it looked more like a serving for 4.........so we ate the whole thing, wife's on a diet. Ruth Ann did allow me one photo for her 67th birthday, still a beautiful woman! This is the snow storm that hit last week. Dick

A few years ago the Mrs. & I made a little trip out to Helena, MT to see an old friend. We also took in the Nimrod Shoot at Polson. While we were there we encountered our first Mountain Bluebird. They really are stunningly beautiful! I called the Mrs. over to look at the strogonoff, she likes your dishes. We both agree Ruth Ann does not look 67. Glad to see you got home safely.

Looks like you got the "Sixshot" beef stroganoff" right and a Photo of Ruth Ann that she approved, even if you had to do a do over.
Great improvement. There is hope for you yet. See you soon.

Always enjoy your photos. Cabin Fever is correct. I have it bad too. Been trying to get out fishing tha last few weeks, but everytime I get a chance a blizzard comes in. Well I am going this Thursday rain or shine. Sounds like it is gonna snow and the guy I was taking backed out because of it. But the fishing is always good this time of year. Hopefully heading to Idaho this summer for some fishing with a friend who lives there.
I notice Mother Thordis is just shy of 100 years older than my Dad. She lived a lot longer than he did.
I didn't know the Mtn Blue Bird was Idahos state bird. They sure are pretty. We have them flocking around here now. I'd say they are as reliable as Robins for letting us know spring is here.
Love the strogonoff. My wife made it for Easter dinner this year. That along with the lamb and ham guests brought left me feeling like a full tick.
