"Wow", "Impressive", and "Jealous" are the first three words that come to mind. Really nice find. Any chance of getting a scanned copy of the article? -Lee www.singleactions.com

You can be impressed if you wanna, Lee. But what with the guns you show us, you have no right to jealousy. Did you notice that the last digit in the serial number appears as if the die was struck upside down? That's not so impressive.
I'll scan the article, but it sucks. They tested a number of different loads, none of which were particularly accurate. Only afterwards did they discover that the front sight wobbled like a kid's "loose tooth". I'm not sure why they bothered to publish the results.
But, I also received a couple of really thorough articles in old "THE SILHOUETTE" newpapers. They'll be a trick to scan effectively, all spread out on various pages and all, but I'll give it a go.

Now what is it going to take to sneak that thing to Oregon? ;D I am curious how much Redding charges for special order dies like that? I would love to have a correctly built, properly labeled set of 414 dies.

Ya, the Redding dies are neat. I'm just using RCBS 41 Mag Carbide for my 414. But again, that's one heck of a package you have there. Many thanks for the photos. I'm sure I'm not the only one drooling over it. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Nice one! FWIW Redding 414SM dies are off their custom list. 375SM dies come off the same list.. MidSouth will order them for you. I'll share the impact when mine arrive..

Talk about a rare gun. That's like 1 of 25 right? And the best part is it looks new.
