I keep trying to drag home a single -six 32 mag with adjustable sights and keep succeeding in bringing home fixed sights. I know some of y'all have anted up with major smiths and had beautiful sight conversions done. So, how about some motivational and inspirational pictures of what's possible. I'm interested in anything from a simple dovetail, windage adjustable sight to a full on custom or S&W sight transplant. If possible please include a ballpark estimate of what it cost ya so I know If I'm just dreaming outside my financial box.

I don't have access to a camera right now, however check out Clements Custom web sight. I had a Ruger Montado done and received back last Friday, beautiful work and it shoots well also. I give Clements a 10 out of 10.

Alan Harton fits them absolutely beautifully. His skill at welding up the top strap sight slot sets him apart. Hamilton Bowens shop fits them with a Smith and Wesson top strap contour. Absolutely gorgeous. Dave Clements does them in the prewar style. There aint no bad options here....

I posted a picture of a Clements done vaquero in the thread about Long cylinder guns. I really like the looks of the new sight Bowen is doing on FA guns but it is a pricey combo by the time you custom order an adjustable sighted gun with out the rear sight machining. Throw the custom work on top and it is a very nice but kind of spendy proposition. Pocket change for guys like Axehandle but for us poor pikers, some more can pick up and lawn mowing is in order. ;D

This is what happens when all you have is a small oriental vertical mill, and a Taurus adjustable sight. It works, but it looks like I did it myself in my basement. Oh, I put a different Ruger front sight on it too.

No shame in that "basement job"...I'd never even try to tackle it with my skills. ;D
Good job on that one.

Look up the pics posted by Boge of his Single Six 32 mag. Gorgeous, seamless work by Alan Harton.

Not the best pic of Alan's work, but you get the idea:
