I've been fooling around making a few knives. I started with finished blades that got handles and took the leap to forging my own blades. Most recently,I've made a knife on a grinder. The knife with the ivory micarta handles was forged. The knife with the walnut diamond wood handles was made on the grinder. These are my first by the two methods. If nothing else, I've gained enormous respect for custom knife makers. I thought you guys might like to see them.

i like em mark, what steel re you using? These are both out of 1095. I have to admit being overwhelmed by the sheer number of steels available. I picked 1095 because it was reccomended as a good high carbon oil hardening steel. I plan to continue, trying to learn a little as I go along. I appreciate all the kind comments.
