Guys, I've been reloading for over 10 yrs. I having problems with length of 45 acp. Wont fit cylinder unless it's less the 1.190' With Laser cast 200 rnd nose bullets they have to be loaded in the ojive to fit and that won't work. My reloads, no matter what shape fit all my 45 acps but the flat top. Help

Are you trying to crimp and seat the bullet at the same time? That won't work. You need to tapper crimp in the last step by it's self. If you try and seat and crimp at the same time, you will roll up an edge oh lead in front of the crimp and it will not seat in the chamber. Bill

It could also be undersized throats. I have often wondered how SWC reloads would do in my ACP cylinders since they don't have the leade into the rifling like a 1911.

I have a Ruger Bisley (full size) .45 Colt/.45 ACP convertible. Both cylinders had undersized cylinder throats. I use a "made for the job" Manson Reamer Kit (complete with pilots) and carefully reamed all of the throats to .4525".
Now, I get great accuracy and no leading in the .45 Colt and I can now load the .45 ACP with .452" bullets seated out of the case any overall length I prefer without issue (also with excellent accuracy and no leading).
I suspect you need the check the cylinder throats. I have heard, tho', that a number of the Flattop convertibles had correct dimensions right out of the box. At any rate, it DOES call for measurement so you'll know what the problem is. As wickerbill mentioned, you do need to seat and crimp with separate operations for best results.
