Third time I have spent money on this gun. Round 1:Bought a 357 anny flattop Super Hammer & no cheese graters happened as soon as it got home: Round 2: Jack Huntington converted my 357 anny flattop to .41: I orginally wanted a companion to my lipsey's 44 spl. Jack delivered exactly what I asked for and very reasonably in terms of time & money. C Shultz did the holly grips. Dual cylinder 41 mag/spl w screw on Stroh front: I decided that I wanted to chop the barrel a bit and swap the stroh front for a Bowen front. Alan Harton did the work this time: (forgive the pic, will try to get better)

So 5.5 has now been replaced by 4ish inch barrels as a new favorite? PS you need to grab that 410 from 2dogs and remove the temptation... to add to the 41 set

Oh, the 5.5 is still my go to. My player to be named later is a 5.5" OM 41 flattop #5.
I have however, found myself pleasantly surprised at easily a 4&5/8" carries. Rob L made a holster for me that lets me carry a 4&5/8" SA on the belt that rides high enough to be completely covered by a short jacket or overshirt.
I have done so much paring to my "set" that I can't go after bottleneck revolver cartidges until I get back to where I want to be with straight walls. Give me a few years years before I start wildcatting in revolvers.

Different steps to the same gun makes perfect sense to me. I have three quest guns that are all getting makeovers as far as grip frames, grips etc. right now.

Groo here I have 2 41 customs from Andy Horvath,, a 5 1/2 and a 3 3/4 inch. The 5 in is easy to hit with but as an all around I find the 3 3/4 carries and shoots easier....

She's a beauty! I have a 3 screw 41 mag that been sitting in the safe . I ask on here every couple of months what would you do to customize it ;D. Lots of good suggestions ! I finally took a step by ordering one of Clements old model Bisley hammers. Then maybe a Reeder old model Bisley grip frame well see......
