Gents,
Does anyone have experience with the Buffalo Bore 255gr Keith standard pressure load.
I am out of the reloading business for a while and want to find a factory load that delivers 900 fps with a 255 gr bullet. This seems to be the answer, although an expensive one.
I will be shooting them out of a 2nd gen. SAA. I had been using the Blackhills cowboy load, but the velocities I was getting were somewhat slower than I hoped. This SAA is a pet and I am hoping to find a factory load that will give me more power without loosening up the revolver.
I have been happy with the Buffalo Bore load in 44 Special (255@1000) and have found I actually get a bit more than the published velocity out of a 4" S&W 24.
Thanks in advance.

BB makes quality ammo, I have no experience with those particular loads, but shoot a ton of 45 kieth loads, I roll my own! You will like them. 45c

That load shot really well out of my Blackhawk. I took a nice 5 pt with it in 2010.

Will a 255 gr Keith bullet @900-1000 fps be too heavy for steady use in a 2nd gen Colt SAA? I like the power level, but I cannot afford to replace that gun... the kid's tuition is expensive.
Thanks again.

Standard pressure means black powder level < 14,000 cup. So it should be fine. I would e-mail Tim at BB if you have any questions he always been good at answering. I bought a couple hundred of these off GB for a good price a few years back and it shot extremely well out of my S&W 25-5.
