That top gun makes me want to call Dustin and see how my 500 is coming but I KNOW better than to bug him so I'll just look at yours instead!

It was a tough wait. It ended up being one of my most accurate guns, when I can avoid flinching. I'm talking to John about another gun, probably a 5 shot 45 on a Flattop big frame Ruger fitted with Bisley parts.

More great six guns Mike. I just love those Linebaugh Vaqueros.
Thanks for sharing.

Those are really nice. What barrel length is on the Colt? Is it still a six shot? I had heard John worked on some Colt's but have never seen a picture of one, very nice.

Those are really nice. What barrel length is on the Colt? Is it still a six shot? I had heard John worked on some Colt's but have never seen a picture of one, very nice. It was built with a 4 3/4" barrel though now has a very tapered light 7 1/2 barrel. The frame was opened for an oversized 6 shot cylinder. If you look closely you can see that the bolt notches are about half the width of a standard gun, offsetting them slightly from the thinnest part of the cylinder. The bolt is also about half width. The cylinder was made of s7 steel, though John says if he were to do it again there would be better steel choices. That said, the gun was designed to use 6 shot 30,000 cup Ruger level loads and has had heavier loads than that through it.
