I just picked up a 357maximum with a bisley grip-frame and bisley parts, a belt magnum #5 base-pin, and a Bowen rear sight.
I think it would make a damn nice .445SM.

I spoke with Mr. Forkin a couple of weeks ago and he told me that he is not taking on any new conversion projects - maybe you'll have better luck.

Ben batches his work projects. He will do rifle work on a bunch of rifle projects and when those are done he goes to something else like conversions on revolvers. He is supposed to call when he starts his next run of lever gun work and I'll send him my 41 Marlin CB for some finish work. You might ask if he will put your name down for the next time he goes into a revolver stage.

It sounds like he's got all the work he wants so I won't bother him unless I decide I really want his work, I may decide to go with a 5 shot cylinder or even a bottle neck round like a .375GNR (a .445SM necked to .375cal). Heck if its like the other 357maximums Ive had, it will shoot so good I won't want to do anything to it.

Sorry, I am singularly obsessed with the .50s. I wonder if there is hope for me.......
