Does anyone know where I can purchase a set of the Pachmayr grips for a recently built FA #83?
FA doesnt offer them anymore and they are not offered on Pachmayrs web site

That's interesting, are they not putting them on the Field Grade guns anymore?

Nope, their current catalog shows them on the FG models but on their price sheet they mention the FG comes standard with rosewood grips.

That's interesting, are they not putting them on the Field Grade guns anymore? They dropped the rubber grips because most FG guns were ordered without them or sent back to have grips replaced. Dan

Perhaps they were dropped because they defined ugly?? ;D I know they are functional, but the FA 83 is such a pretty gun that deserves nice grips to complement it. JMHO.

I do not like them for function and every FA that I have that had them on are no longer on mine. They position my hand to far to the rear of the trigger and do not promote a proper grip position for me I would like the wood grips much better if they had a bit of a palm swell inorder to fill the hand a bit better. If a set of wood grips fits ones hand correct they work perfectly IME

Yes, some with a little palm swell, or a moderate "gunfighter" style (fat up top and no flair at the bottom) would probably work quite well on the FA.

OK then, anyone got a set of ugly Pachmayrs that I could put on my premier grade to shoot it without shredding my finger?
