Hi all. I just purchased a Ruger New Vaquero .357, black with 4.62" barrel. Just did a search and couldn't find any info on it. Just wanting your opinions. I'm not looking to do any competition, just an every day carry (yes, I open carry and I love it!). Thanks for the time.

To be honest....I have no ideal. I have no experience with single action shooting or the guns. Are there any easy mod's that need to be done, or just leave her alone? Any info I can pick from your brain is great. Thanks for responding.

A new Ruger Vaquero is a great little gun, nothing really needs to be done to them but normally the first thing I have done is a trigger job but for a carry gun this might not be a great idea.
Are you happy with the sights? There are things that can be done to improve the fixed sites, one of the easier things is have the front sight replaced with a nice black front sight, freedom arms has one that a gunsmith can fit, there are also a couple of smiths that make a fixed black insert for the rear sight on a Vaquero. How about your grips, are you happy with the fit and fill? If not there is a lot of people making custom grips that fit and look like a million dollars. These are some of the less costly things that can be done. The Ruger single action is a great gun for customizing, If you can think of it, someone has probably tried it.
