I see that Ruger has released some Flattop 4 5/8" blued .41 Mags. I assume they are a distributor exclusive, but don't know if so, or who. I'm curious if a 5 1/2" version and stainless versions are also in the works. Anyone know more details? I'm also assuming these are on the mid-frame, but may be mistaken. I've gone into a Ruger mid-frame mania recently.

They did some in '10 or early '11 on the large frame.

Distributor exclusive available through Williams Shooters Supply in Quincy, Illinois. Both 4-5/8" and 6-1/2" versions, and Williams currently has both in stock. The ones I have seen have all been on the larger Flattop frame as used on the .44 Mag FT commemoratives.

Ken, our buddy Hoover has one of those in the 6.5" persuasion. he may be able to tell you how it does on the range. Bet he'd let you shoot it too
