I'm understanding that if you want a USFA, These Turnbull guns are the last iof what is available.

USFAs are NOT easy to find, and these are a cut above the standard USFA: you get the full Turnbull treatment, including CCH frame & hammer (standard USFAs have a white-sided hammer), beautiful rust bluing of the rest, tasteful engraving on the cylinder, and special DT serial numbers. All for what would be a good price for a base USFA. Heckuva deal IMO, and there aren't many left! Tenring has some as well, and although they aren't as attractively priced as the CDNN guns, Tenring does have some in 44 Special (CDNN is sold-out of 44 Special). So if 44 Special is worth a $300 premium, that option is out there. Tenring also has "C" engraved 44 Special with one-piece ivory stocks for $2700, which is also a good deal - CDNN has only three-gun consecutive-numbered sets left of the "C" engraved/ivory-stocked guns, at $6000 an even-better deal for the well-heeled. Tenring: www.tenring.com/FirearmsSingleActions.htmlCDNN's catalog - see page 9: site.cdnninvestments.com/CDNN2012-1/index.html

Thankee, Markbo! It's not really talent, just technology (my Sony Cybershot H1 H5 does Macrofocus better than any digital camera I've ever seen) and lighting.
I guess my only "secret" is, I take two of every shot - one is always a bit better than the other.

Good heavens that's gorgeous! Have you shot it yet?
I think I'd feel guilty about taking that out in the Alabama summer humidity and sweating all over it...
I couldn't not shoot it, though.

Not yet - picked it up Wednesday, been too busy to take it out since. But I am going to, and soon!
